Linekin Bay Resort in New England’s Maine is offering‘Staycation and recession busting specials’ for any client booked from May 22 - June 19 2009.  

The spring special package offers an extra free night if two nights are booked between a Sunday and Friday. The deal includes continental breakfast, use of resort facilities: swimming pool, kayaks, tennis court and games room. The cost is $69 (approximately £48) per room based on two sharing.

Golfers can experience Boothbay Country Club, unlimited rounds and lunch for an additional $80 (approx. £55) per person per day. Tee times must be booked in advance.
