Chair reserved for Kate-Burgess-Craddy

Kate Burgess-Craddy is to take over from Peter Moss as chairman of Visit USA Association.
Burgess-Craddy has been active within VUSA since 1998 when she joined the PR Committee after her appointment as UK PR Director for Visit Florida and setting up her own consultancy, KBC PR & Marketing.

She was unanimously elected by the board to take over as the new Chair, with effect from the association’s June 25 board meeting.

When Burgess-Craddy moves into her new role she will relinquish her position as chair of the Visit USA Public Relations Committee and will hand this baton to Jonathan Sloan, who has been elected as a Visit USA board director.

Peter Moss leaves his role as chair after three years, a year longer than the normal two-year term, however he will continue to serve as a board director until at least the end of his elected term, to end of March 2010.

Said Burgess-Craddy: “Visit USA owes a very big vote of thanks to Peter for the invaluable time and effort he has contributed as the Visit USA chair. Over the last three years, Visit USA has gone from strength to strength with many more members, more activities and events and increased membership benefits.

“I would also like to welcome Jonathan to the board - his considerable PR experience makes him a great choice for the new PR committee chair and his input will be valuable to Visit USA at this very challenging time”.

This year and beyond throws up a unique set of challenges, said Burgess-Craddy.
“As the new chair of Visit USA, I look forward to working with my Visit USA colleagues in assisting Members by continuing to deliver significant benefits and events as well as targeted, low cost marketing.”
